Hi guys,
In a situation that your rental car was involved in an accident, how exactly is that taken care of? I did not buy insurance for the rental via the rental company becaue my insurance told me not to since they would cover it. However, in the event of an accident, would I have to pay another deductible for my insurance on the rental, and would that accident record go on my insurance history? I'm trying to figure out whether to go through insurance or to just pay for the repairs myself. I seem to remember someone telling me they didn't have to pay a deductible for an accident in a rental car. Thanks

the money the rental company loses from downtime
due to repairs. Rental company optional insurance
forms usually have a box to cover those costs.
That's why I usually get the rental car optional
insurance anyway. Insurance will more than likely
cover liability, and repair the car. My coverage
includes no deductable on rentals... but you need
to read your policy to find out if your coverage
includes such a clause.
