Help -- New 1st Gear Syncro, and still can't get into gear.

Same problem as before ... about %10 of the time I attempt to shift into gear from a stop (any gear, not just first), the stick will get stuck halfway, and the only remedy is to lift off the clutch to the point of engagement ... then it slips right in.
Any idea what this could be other than Syncros? I have new fluid in there as well.
Thanks in advance

---> at A (there was no pic for 1st gear). These flutes are pointed to allow easy gear engagement at rest. When the synchros are bad, these point contact each other causing grinding. This eventually machines off the points of the flutes so that now flat surfaces block engagement until the clutch is engaged slightly. This can only be repaired by a new gear and collar. New synchros alone may avoid grinding, but wont repair the gear engagement.

If not, your shifter may not have been aligned properly. But, at rest, with the clutch disengaged well (the transmission is not turning) cold weather may also make gear engagement a little harder.

just had a new clutch and flywheel installed too, so i know there is nothing funky going on with that. car is still under warranty, so no worries about cost. i'm just concerned what will happen if the dealer doesn't diagnose correctly. thanks!

they targeted the first gear syncro because i stated that it only happened in first. i'd imagine my first gear syncro didn't pass their inspection and they opted to replace without looking for other symptoms. i didn't realize until now that it happens on all gears. do you think it could be something as simple as the shifter? what puzzles me is that it happens only intermittently and only at a stop. thanks

1. Why were clutch and flywheel replaced? Symptoms?
2. What model year S4 is this?
3. Did you buy it new? Mileage, if used.
4. How many miles did you put on it.
The plot thickens.

1. Why were clutch and flywheel replaced? Symptoms?
Clutch had 30-40% life remaining, but I replaced it early to save on labor. Flywheel was replaced because the dealer noted too much play within the flywheel itself. They also noted glazing.
2. What model year S4 is this?
2001.5
3. Did you buy it new? Mileage, if used.
Bought used at 49K.
4. How many miles did you put on it.
I've put 11K on it, now at 60K. Tranny problems have only been around for 2-3K.
