I've built a pressure tester as recommend (due to diagnosing some potential DiPP issues) and went to do the job but ran into a problem. Please have a look at this web page for my comments. This is on my 02, 6 spd allroad, 2.7lt.

When disconecting the intake hose from the Y pipe and MAF (figure 2), I found their is another small hose connected to the intake hose from beneath. You can't see it in the picture and they don't talk about it but it's there. It doesn't want to come off with a gentle tug and is not held on with a clip so removal is not obvious. I'm thinking I need to yank harder but I don't want to break anything. I can't attach the pressure tester without removing this. How do I get this hose off?

off before. I would imagine it should be some sort of QD(quick disconnect) though. If it's like the other hose connected to the y pipe you just squeze the two tabs and pull.

so don't get too overzealous. But yeah, that connection is a bugger. Remember the hole when you put the accordion pipe back on, and position that hole as closely aligned as possible to the connector.
