A quarter or something has fallen toward the rear of the ash tray behind it. I need to remove the mechanism. It seems as though the Climate Control needs to be removed to do this. Any help?
The bentley manual is not much of a help. Thanks

First, you need to go to the dealer and "borrow" the radio keys so you can unlcok the radio. Next unplug it and set it aside. (that was the easy part)
Now you need 2 small flat head screwdrivers to unlock the bottom 2 clips. Trust me the 4 snap clips holding the climate control in place is the toughest ones I've encountered in any car! We had 2 people pulling together on different areas of the climate control to dislodge it. It's hard to grasp with only 2 hands. Once that piece flies out, you only need to remove two bolts to remove the ash tray.
have fun!
