Default Help.... Used RS4 PPL Install Question

Hi all. I found myself piecing together a clutch kit. Because my funds are low. PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR BEING A NOOBIE AND ASKING QUESTIONS THAT SOME MAY FIND TO BE COMMON KNOWLEDGE. THAT BEING SAID... I'M ZIPPING UP MY FLAME SUIT. I've installed numerous clutches in BMW's and know my way around Bimmers well, but this is my first Audi and I don't want to f up this install. So any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a new southbend clutch disk that I scored from a friend that wrecked his s4 before he could intstall it. I also purchased a metal face throw out bearing from 034 motorsports and I also picked up a used rs4 ppl with 5k on it for cheap. And a stock resurfaced flywheel. I also picked up the USP metal slave cylinder and steel braided clutch line. I read somewhere that when installing a new rs4 ppl to make sure that it is adjusted correctly before install. My question is.. being that its used how would I know if it is adjusted correctly. What is this procedure? I have a garage full of tools, an air compressor, engine hoist,.ect.. I plan on pulling the moter and trans out of the car so that I can have room to work. Plus I'm installing my 3" downpipes, test pipes, Borla mufflers, and Stern street density motor mounts at the same time. By the way I have a 01 a6 2.7t 6m. ko4's installed but not fueling running off APR software. After I get fueling and a few more goodies, I'm going full stg3. Right now this is my dd and I really need to get her up and running ASAP! Once again any help and or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm asking you S4 guys because you all are more performance driven here than the A6 forum. You all have figured out how to get the most out of the 2.7t drivetrain and I'm hear to sponge up all the knowledge I can get regardless of how it comes.

Thanks in advance.

I know guys... The search button is your friend. I found the info that I was looking for at the link below.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng86.shtml

Now my question to you all is. Who has done this clutch change one the ground and what tricks or tips can you give me if I decide not to pull the motor. I found a few links to doing the motor mounts without pulling the motor. So if I don't have to pull the motor I won't. It just seems easier to pull the motor to do the install. Once again I'm a noobie here and ready for my flaming.

i read somewhere, either here or on QW that if youre only doing clutch work its easier to leave the motor in.
