Default Help w/ sat radio adapter....

I saw some talk about adapters (blitzsafe) used w/ satellite radio to run it through the CD changer rather then FM modulation. Can't find any specifics by the search - anyone got these to work? Looking for install details too..TIA

With the Blitzsafe adaptor, it's very simple. You plug one end in you CD changer cable and the other end has one or two different plugs that go to the satellite unit. Blitzsafe draws power from the changer cable, so no need to tap switched and constant as you you with FM modulated. Then just run one cable up to the dash for the display unit and that's all. BTW, I have one for sale (brand new, never used) if you decide you need one ;-)

Default Search the audio forum..

There are a bunch of posts on there. They provide a basic input in place of a CD changer, so you have to remove yours if you happen to have one.

XM's sound quality, and the overall quality of the stock sound system ends up meaning that you won't get noticably better sound that way... unless there's something wrong with the modulator.

I went through a big hassle trying out a line input for mine, and found that the XM sound quality wasn't good enough to matter. The modulator was a much less invasive install.
