Default help..... what would cause the ecu to cut the boost.

something wierd just happened. drove the car and it was making no boost like 5 pounds, i run an abt/ams chip and i have a boost gauge so i was able to see the boost. i came home and did an adaptation hoping this would reset the ecu, with the key and the boost returned, although i thaught i heard some vacume leak, then the ecu shut the boost down automatically again. i cant hear any hissing unles the car is under load and every time i test to hear where it is coming from the ecu kills the boost and has to be reset. what would cause the ecu to cut the boost. is there a spacific hose that if blown would do this? my tbb boot looks fine and does not seem to be hissing and i have no ce light on. any help would be realy appreciated.

Limp mode. Please check for boost leaks and report back.

Default It's the wheels, you should send them to me for inspection and put your stock ones back on

if the problem goes away then your wheels are defective

Default Totally remove the TBB and look for tears at the clamped areas. And check the BPV's if they hold

vaccum. Just remove em and suck the vaccum nipple. You'll hear if they are torn.

Default Its teh MAF, had the same issue...

If you remove the ECU, let it sit for a bit, reconnect, you'll be fine for say a couple of miles, than CEL comes on again, causing it to go into limp mode. If you have a 2000, must be teh BOSCH, mine was replaced today, running happily 16 PSI again....
