Default Help! Whistling noise coming from drivers side of engine under heavy acceleration (m)

this just started happening friday when i was at the track. The car feels slower, and its definitely a whistle (not a siren sound). Any ideas what this could be, leaking boost somewhere perhaps?

thanks

jon

Default If it is a whistling noise once you get past 3.5-4k, it could be a leak in the exhaust ...

But that doesn't explain the performance issue.

Check your lower IC hoses. That's the sound mine made when one of the hoses poped off.

(i'm pretty sure) You can get to them by dropping the belly-pan

Yeah, thats the best way, drive car on ramps, drop belly pan. look for a loose clamp.

Default You probably blew your turbo . .I had the same type of sound >>>

Some say siren while others say loud whislte. In anycase a little down in power, Oh, say 2-3 psi's might = a blown turbo or one that has failed. To me whne my turbo blew the sound was like a loud whistle rather than the common siren sound . .sorry dude but if you ran your car hard and the sound started almost right away then its the turbo most likely. If you noticed it the next day then it could be numerous issues . .=(
