Yes, this is connected to the brake booster which is present on both 6 spd and tip cars.

crazy my brake boost hose on the tip looks different unless im looking at the wrong thing

Actually there are two suction pumps. The one we commonly replace is 058-133-753-B.

It's the suction(jet) pump or breather valve that commonly clogs and exacerbates the cam chain tensioner/valve cover gasket leaks.

We call the hose assy you show "Suction pump/hose (brake booster vacuum supply line) for 2.7T." It's $95.48 from your Audi dealer (used to be $80).

HTH clear up any confusion with "suction pump" lingo.
