Default High-pitched wind noise over driver's left shoulder...

Anyone else have this noise? It is not very loud, but very audible because of the pitch. What did you do to fix it?

Default A number of people have said they fixed it by slightly "bending" the door.

Hip against the door, hands on the top of the window and give it a couple light tugs inward.

YMMV, don't pull TOO hard

Default DON'T BEND IT...use an allen wrench and adjust the door catch on the frame of the car

I did this to my 96A4 and it fixed it...

Default here it is..... or at least a try

The little latch catch is the silver piece bolted to the pillar of the car where the door latches. It has two allen bolts that can be loosened and then the silver thingy can be moved around. You will see little hash marks on the car and little alignment marks on the silver latch catch. Loosen the allen bolts and slide the silver piece in towards the interior about 2mm or so and then give it a try. It took me two tries to eliminate the wind noise.

Default you can also move it up and down ... I used the top rubber door seal compaired to the seal on....

the back door as a reference. The 96A4 was lined up perfectly when the wind noise stopped. Let me know how it goes.
