Hit a pothole last nightand my wheel actually split between the spokes...
of the 5 star. They are Moda R6's and this wheel is completely destroyed. The hit was not even that big. Not big enough for me to even look at the wheel until today. I don't have a digital camera to show you but damn this is the craziest thing I have seen. About a 5 inch flat spot and a 7 inch tear in the structure of the wheel. I knew these wheels were soft but damn, that is dangerous. So I called tirerack and the are anxious to see the wheel. They spoke with Moda and will replace the wheel at no cost, which they should because that has to be a design flaw. New York roads and a weak wheel= F'd up combo.

gotcha. I meant that because I'm running 17's, not 18's...
Hopefully the same thing won't happen to me! More sidewall, more protection. (at least that's the way I hope it works)
