No I'm not nuts. when the short shifter is so bad that it hangs you are going to do damage

Well, I see some pretty sad stuff every now and again (being a kid doc)....I step back and realize..

it is only a car and it will get fixed eventually.

I also have a wife and 3 healthy kids so it could be worse

Make sure you get the appropriate shifter for your car. 2000 vs 2001.5up MY have different shifters

I have seen a few people get the wrong shifters for their cars. 2000 model year cars have a straight shifter, while 2001.5 and up have a shift linkage that is canted to the right. To know for sure what style you have you'll need to pull off the shift surround and look ...as the Model year is not a definitive answer to what shifter you will have.

Thanks - I checked my date of manufacture and it's like 03/2000 - definitely an early model.

I'm sure it's the right one for my model year.

I really need to talk to you more on these kind of things! You have just taught me a very

valuable lesson as in how to be a better person! how to handle stress. This is one of the reason I dont want to have any kids, i am afriad i cant handle the stress and eventually drove myself crazy!

I am 100% sure Mike can put it to the bottom of it and she will run how it supposed to be!
