Default Hmm.. I had no idea newer S4s had exhaust flaps

MarkP's 45hp gain with dumps has me thinking of ways to divert exhaust gas around the mufflers. I have no way to test but I assume the majority of exhaust backpressure is caused by the two mufflers (APR stealth).

Open dumps coming off the test pipes are great for hp but don't get the gas to the rear of the car. Some sort of custom made exhaust using mufflers with internal diverter flaps would be the best of both worlds.

Default Well...

The milltek 3" seems to flow pretty damned well. Dan (SJ6spd) went to a custom high-flow 3.5" and afaik really hasn't logged any difference over his milltek with cats.

Nevertheless, it couldn't hurt

Default yea, but doesn't it sound like a ferrari at idle?

I need something fairly quiet so I don't aggrevate the neighbors at 5 am. Another problem would be getting it to fit to the APR cats or testpipes that don't neck down to stock diameter.
