I know this is in the archives, but maybe someone has an updated technique of gutting.
Best tools to use? easiest way to get in there and hack?
I don't want to cut them, so I'm probably just going to go in on the angle... Or is that a bad idea?
Thanks for any tips you might have...

An air chissel will blow right through the honeycomb catalyst. took me 10 min each side. basicly the steps are as follows... with a medium sized spade bit (1" +/- a little) drill a hole or two right down the middle of the honeycomb. then start in the middle with a air chissel and work your way out chipping off/cutting all of the honeycomb out. then sand/wire wheel/grind of whats left sticking to the walls. good luck

I have a ten inch 3/8 bit. Then I am using a screw driver and a hammer just banging it in.
Is there a technique to pull the junk out? It seems like im just hitting it and it's not going anywhere.
I have been at it for about a half hour.. and not much to show for it.
