Default hmm, maintenance costs starting to make me think about selling... <m>

its such a hard decision - on one hand its such a great car and so much fun to drive. But the ongoing expenses are starting bog me down, and now I am thinking maybe I should be putting that money to work elsewhere (house, 401k, etc.)

Well, the plan is to get through the summer and then decide on it.

Default What kind of costs are you seeing? You must be out of warranty...

I've had virtually none other than oil changes, but I'm still under warranty, and I don't drive more than average distances. I'm sure that it will be more expensive than a Honda Accord to maintain in its older years, but I can rationalize it by telling myself that I really enjoy the car. Some things in life are worth the headache & expense, IMO.

Default I'm kinda in the same boat. Bottom line is you WILL NOT find a car that will give you all of the

pluses that the S4 offers. imo those are: speed, beauty, class, style, modability, awd, safety. I'm in the same boat. It's like "why should I continue to pay these huge bills for maintainance when I can be putting them towards a house?" At least that's my question. I love it though and will keep it!

Default 2nd. Today, I'm having 3 upper control arms replaced (1 left, 2 right), and have in the past year..

dealt with a bad MAF - $600ish (pre aftermarket warranty), bad ABS master control module - $1046 part cost (also pre aftermarket warranty), and a failing instrument cluster which the warranty company won't cover until it has completely failed. The car has 57k miles on it.

Reliability is teh suck.

Default I didn't know what the prob was at first, and don't have the experience or resources to do it...

myself. Plus, I have an aftermarket warranty for that.

Default What car also fits those postive attributes? I love the BMW's also, but no awd (and that's a huge

selling factor as I'm in CO). I drove a G35 this last week and they're nice, but I don't think they have the luxury or stealthiness of teh S4.

What about the 330ix? Can't you supercharge that?
