Default Hmm. When I close the driver's side door, I hear a clanging rattling sound
on the same side from somewhere within the engine compartment. What might that be? Heat shield?

Default I've got that too, found the source, sort of
go under the nose and tap on either side of the splash guard. My rattles most from the passenger side, but I haven't removed it to see what it is. It may be the plastic rattling against something metallic. I was wondering if the garage that did my 15k oil change didn't properly reinstall the guard and it is just loose.

Let me know what you find out.

Default I have the same problem. Also sometimes I can hear this sound on the bumps.
Every time I asked a dealer to fix it, they can't find the source. could be guard though.

but then I just take the beer bottle caps out of the lower door thingy and all is cool!

BTW, G.Freeman, do you play TFC?
