...before he starts work and/or before he says he finished working on it. That is the only way to ensure clear communication.

...about my repairs, such as what is being replaced, does this require replacing the oil pan. He also didn't know all of the parts of Audis, so if you described something to him, he didn't necessarily describe it as what you described it to him. Scott before him was pathetic from a customer service standpoint so please don't use him as a reference.

He kept his promises and if he didn't know the answer, he would get it for me. He didn't pretend to be a tech, he's a service advisor. i guess I got along well with him because he was 1) always nice and respectful to me 2) did everything as promised and in the time allotted 3) generally cared for my concerns.
Now he may not have been the most knowledgeable service advisor out there, but from a customer satisfaction standpoint, he was excellent IMHO.

Those guys are good, but he has never, ever crossed my train of thought. And that's tough. ZERO conflict! He's always been great and enthusiastic about the cars he services.
