Default I hope an uber informative post is coming soon with your tweaking results =)

Once you get your hood working, of course.

Default BTDT, I once installed an rs4 grill for a friend, and forgot to pull the hood release through. DOH!

Took a long time to get the hood open. I don't remember exactly how I did it though, as it was 5 years ago. I just remember it was a major PITA!

Default I have the grille off, that was easy!

The latch mechanism seems to be malfunctioning! I'll tinker with it later. Thankfully, the car hasn't needed the hood open for anything

Default Update...

It is the latch mechanism. I had an Audi-tech friend of mine look at it. He tried for 3 hrs to get it loose to no avail He even got off two of the three bolts holding the hood-loop on.

Gonna have to break the latch with an air chisel.

Dammit. Well, at least my car has given me no reason to need to open the hood

To the cynical midgets out there: There's NO WAY I could have broken a latch just by putting a cable on it. AND it worked 4 times or so before it broke so :P

Default Hell no: Time for a new hood latch and loop.

My hood will be fine, the latch is getting pounded with the air hammer though.
