The latch mechanism seems to be malfunctioning! I'll tinker with it later. Thankfully, the car hasn't needed the hood open for anything

It is the latch mechanism. I had an Audi-tech friend of mine look at it. He tried for 3 hrs to get it loose to no avail
He even got off two of the three bolts holding the hood-loop on.
Gonna have to break the latch with an air chisel.
Dammit. Well, at least my car has given me no reason to need to open the hood![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
To the cynical midgets out there: There's NO WAY I could have broken a latch just by putting a cable on it. AND it worked 4 times or so before it broke so :P
