Default Hot weather and decrease in performance...........

Guys,

Is is my imagination or does hot weather affect turbo performance? It's been in the 90s all month and I felt like I've felt a *slight* decrease in performance. I know we've talked about this before on the board, but I just want some confirmation. I wanna make sure my chip isn't going bad........(grins)

Default PV=nRT.

Cold, dense air means a bigger bang than hot air.

Default Warmer air contains less oxygen per unit volume, thus less power. Also, the intercoolers..

will not cool the air charge as efficiently. Double whammy decreasing power output in turbo engines. WIth the 55F temps this morning, my car was very frisky.

Default Thanks guys, also AC

I think I'm getting used to Wett's 345 torque, but I do feel a slight power drop.

However, a Z-28 challenged me several times on the highway. I turned off the AC, and he was still able to hang with my Tip S4 from a stoplight.

I out-torque him once at highway speed, though. He made serveral runs at me and I was able to stay ahead and he even fell back a bit. I guess my chip is still working! (grins)

Is there a intake air temp sensor after the intercoolers?
