Default don't do pulleys...they are bad for the engine....

Do a little STFA and you'll see some posts.

Default That's who started it. Never seen any evidence to support it.

Plus, why do companies make something they know will blow engines ?? Not enough evidence to support this old myth. Plus isn't istook racing with LW pulleys and LW flywheel to boot ? i think he is. Never heard any issues from him on it and he races these cars . Enough for me.

Default I had the ECS underdrive crank pulley on my M3...

and never had an issue. I put over 50K miles on it and the person that has it now, has over 100K miles. The only downside was at a stoplight, the headlights would dim down a little. Once you were moving the headlights were fine. There were several guys that had pulleys and didn't have issues, which is why I took the chance. The people that did have problems were the ones that had a lightweight flywheel along with the pulleys. That is a bad idea.

I also had lightweight pulleys and camshaft gears on my GSR without any issues.

They can be a little pricey for what you get. I got the ECS pulley on a very, very good deal at the time and I bought used pulleys for the GSR.
