How bad is it to drive on a squeeking tie rod with a loose rubber boot?
It's been squeeking on and off for about 4,000 miles.
I know it can't be good but how urgent is it?
I have a new tie rod end at home, just haven't got around to it.

Shouldn't damage anything other than the tie rod end.
My wife's allroad was doing it for months. I swapped out the tie rod end for a new one and its all good now.
