Default How can I fix this Coilpack wire?

I started up the car the other day, and the engine was slightly rough/shaky, as if one of coilpacks had died. I measured blocks 015 and 016, and found that Cylinder 5 was constantly misfiring. As far as I can tell, Cylinder 5 is the rear most, on the driver's side. I went to replace the coilpack, and as I removed the Coolant tank I found this on the wires going to (assuming I've identified it correctly) Cylinder 5:

The insulation on at least 2 of the wires have been worn through. I didn't proceed to replace the Coilpack, in case this short might cause a replacement unit to fail also.

Suggestions please!

Default I used this diagram to determine which was Cylinder 5:

I'm going off of the smaller graphic at the bottom of this gif:

The individual wires' insulation have been rubbed through. I need to re-insulate each wire, but does that mean I have to cut them, and splice together? There isn't much wire left between the worn-through section, and the connector. Are the connectors available individually?

Default Just pull the wires out of the plastic connector and resolder the wires...

to the copper tips. Then re-insert into the connector and you're good to go.

Default Would a paper clip work to remove the pins from the connector? Also

Is there any sort of special High-temp Heat shrink tubing I should use? If such a thing exists.

Default Normal heat shrink will work. And I just used the flat head from...

one of those tiny screwdriver kits (jeweler's kit) to pop the pins out, I'm sure a paper clip would work though Just be careful not to deform the lips on the pins.
