How do you remove the center console from around the ebrake handle?

Default There are 5 or 6 screws that are covered w/tabs...
Just remove those & pull the console off.

I couldn't get it to come past the ebrake handle. I got it loose.

Default IIRC, there are some wires that you have to disconnect...
on the underside. They are connected via a small harness.

got those, too. I just can seem to get it loose from around the ebrake.

Default Did you take off the ebrake handle cover?
By that I mean the leather grip and the attached plastic shroud. It's kind of difficult to explain, but looking under the handle itself, there's a little tab that you have to unlatch, then the cover pulls straight off.

Default 5 screws, 2 up front on sides, 1 under dual cup holder, 2 under rear ashtray. make sure you remove
the parking brake handle before you try to pull the whole console up and out. use a small flathead screwdriver to pull out the plug on the underside of the handle. it then slips off.
