How does a Borla 3" compare to a Milltek 3" in regards to sound?

Assuming that you are serious (I can be gullible), Borla is louder in all respects...not by a ton but definitely noticeable. I like the WOT of the Borla better than the Milltek but I found it too loud at idle for me. It also has a slight drone. Again, not terrible but I'm picky and wanted something subtle. DPs make it even louder while with the Milltek the sound (IMHO) is the same except you can hear the turbos more.

I love my G2, but after hearing the ASP's I kinda regret not jumping in on the group buy (i got my exhaust a month before I heard about the GB :-(

First off I would say the Borla is louder everywhere, more aggressive. My old roomate had a VM3. That is a bad loud. Borla is nowhere near that.
Idle: Borla is deeper. Sitting at a stop light with windows up you might hear the Borla, but only if there isn't much traffic. Radio on can't hear either one.
Cruising: No difference because I couldn't hear either one windows up or down over the road noise.
WOT: Don't have much experience with the Milltek here, but I can say that I like the tone of the Borla. You can definitely hear it with the windows up, but road/wind noise quickly pushes the sound into the background.
I don't have downpipes yet though, so that will definitely bring the volume up some. I also have the old style rear muffler with the split tips not the new one, but from what I have read they sound pretty similar.
The best sounding exhaust I have ever heard on an S4 - GHL Downpipes and SuperSprint catback = teh sex. Not too loud, and deeeeeep beautiful tone.
I have no idea what "drone" is, and have explicitely avoided asking the question because ignorance is bliss. My exhaust may or may not drone, but I don't notice anything and like the way it sounds so I'm happy.
This is all of course just my opinion.

Maybe next year I'll finally retire my Milltek and weld in the ASP. I know the Milltek is costing me a couple HP, but I'm not too motivated to replace it right now.
