How easy is it to adjust ride height with coilovers?

I plan to upgrade the suspension on my S4 this summer, but a "fixed" suspension is not a good choice for me because we get a lot of snow during winter here in Montreal.
If I go with coilovers, I'm wondering how easy (or hard) it would be to raise the suspension when putting my winter tires, and then lower it when I put back my summer tires? Is this something feasible at all?
I have absolutely no experience with coilovers. If I change the ride's height, do I need to re-align the wheels? Also, would I need any camber adjustment?

...considering the quality of the roads we have here (or lack thereof), it might prove useful after all! =)
