Default every time my s4 has sat still for 4-6 months the brake rotors have been warped beyond repair and

the pads all went bad. One of those times the car was driven a bit each week too. These were outside however, in cold climates, so i dunno indoors.

Default Cars are meant to be driven. It doesn't take long for problems to occur

It depends alot on where and how the vehicle is stored too. Main issues short term are rust on brake rotors, rust in cylinder walls, sticking clutch, rust in the exhaust, rust in the brake system and rust in the fuel system. Basically anywhere where rust can easiy form, it will. Most problems can occur around 6 or more months.

Default No.

Your car can sit for 100 years and the rotors won't warp. The only thing that'll warp rotors is extreme heat, and that is very rare. Not an issue for a street car.

Within reasonable time frames - weeks or months - they'll rust, which is normal, and some driving will take them back down to clean metal and they'll be okay. Non-use can cause floating calipers to bind up, but that's another issue.

Default likely the rust was so bad....

that when the pads clamped down on them and started wearing away, the surface wasn't planar anymore....hence them being called 'warped'.....

metal won't just warp on its own, but it'll rust up nicely....
