How long does a synthetic oil change last?- Time not Miles
STFA, but didn't get a good answer.
Once I change my oil, how long is it good for? I'm looking for Time not Miles here.
I've been changing my own oil for a little while now, but since I got a daily driver I haven't put anywhere close to the miles I used to on the car. So now it seems that it takes me a few months between oil changes and I know when I used to get it done at the dealer they would have a Date of expiration for my oil change.

I would suggest 6 months as maximum time, 5k miles (just to give you perspective on my way of
thinking about oil changes). With these engines, I wouldn't leave Motul or anything else in there for 10k miles, regardless of what anyone else says.

My car is not a daily driver and I change the oil once a year and I also got blackstone lab test ...
to check the oil. They found the oil to be in top shape and told me that time with synthetic is not as big of an issue as with dyno. I sent the oil in with 3400 miles 10 months of use and they told me to go 5000 miles and check back.
Hope that helps.

I used to be a 3k miles guy. I now have ~5,500 miles and over 6 months on current oil...
Will be changing it in ~500 miles and send sample to Blackstone for analysis. This 6,000 miles included several track days as well.
