How long have you driven on siren/whistling turbos?

Record the sound and post it. "Like a siren" is very subjective
Turbos spool at lower RPMs with chipped cars. It has
to do with the operation of the wastegates and otehr
stuff that is totally different when tuned from stock.
Like somebody else said, what did you expect from
chipping it!

See it's that type of stuff I wasn't aware of. It definitely drives different...
as it the way the power comes on is no longer smooth, but more abrupt. It seems to generate power much sooner as well. It's like it WANTS to be driven WOT all the time 
When people say it's normal for a chipped car to whine, I was wondering why. Is it because the turbo has more wear all of a sudden? Or because the way it operates is now different, and subsequently, sounds different? Thanks for posting that!
and for the record, I did expect the turbo to die sooner with a chipped car. It was my 5000 mile drive across the canadian rockies that had me worried

Well, don't quote me on this, but as for why they are louder when chipped, I would
associate it with the higher shaft speeds. More boost at all RPM's means a louder turbo I would assume?
