The GT28s will need more engine work so it will be a major upgrade I think.

Default Depends on results...

I think it'll be a long while before the GT28s are producing to potential. Look how long it took for K04s to be "worth it". Also... there are several flavors of GT28. Select the wrong one, and you're not going to do well...

It's gonna take some dialing in.

Default Those turbos aren't going to be very streetable. I doubt they'll appeal very much to the Audi crowd.

How useful is a turbo setup that doesn't see full boost until 5000+ RPMs? The reason why the K04 and K04 hybrid setups are so popular is because they're the perfect compromise of low end response and top end power.

Default Reinforced studs and bolt with a Thicker headgasket 2Drop CR

Hopefully will be enough to take atvantage of the Gt28's with out going deeper into the motor for strength
Some may opt to mess around with heads also to further drop the compression ratio
Anymore engine work needing to be done for the set up is going to turn alot of people off

But maybe we'll see what these engines can really do
Who knows maybe alot will switch, but i wouldnt count on it anytime soon

Im really interested in if there doing anything with the cams for the Gt's

Default You are right...

However, as I indicated above, there are plain vanilla GT28s and there are those that are purpose designed.

Default i just read about that car in your sig - with that turbo and

stock brakes? sounds scary... I used to have a 95 S6 (miss it really) and the stock brakes are criminally inadequate...

sounds like you have a nice UrS-car there. hang onto it - I have regretted seling mine since the day I sold it.
