Default How many psi is used to open the WGs?

I want to hook up a compressor to the line to check for tears because they aren't opening and my N75 cycle seemed fine and everyone was saying that N75s usually break open not closed.

Default

he means that N75s are designed to fail such that they do NOT divert pressure away from the WGs

Default Yes, they usually break into the open position when they fail.

Then 4 psi to open the WGs. I think it's 7 psi on K04s.

Default WG open when N75 fails.

N75 defaults to WG when N75 fails (open WG).
Overboosting occurs when WG lines have a leak.
As said below, K04 WG open with about 7psi pressure.

Default I would definitly pressure test your WG lines...

its becoming more and more common for the lines from the N75 to the WG to tear as these cars get older. I just replaced my driver side line b/c it split a few inches above the WG.

I believe the WG closes when pressure is applied to the line

If you do find a tear, cross your fingers that its not the WG line on the passenger turbo, because its almost impossible to change it out without pulling the engine. Drivers side would be a pain too, but not as bad

Mine failed right where the metal part of the hose is crimped onto the rubber . . .logs looked something like this before changeout:

fun stuff, good luck
