Default short answer: huge improvement, but sandblaster noise...

Worth doing regardless, IMHO.

Default Yes. My 1/4 ET dropped 7 tenths from the chip only upgrade.

You don't have to have an exhaust when you chip. It will help with reducing back pressure and reducing some heat in the turbos...but it's not a must have right away. You can chip, then decided on exhaust....that's what many of us on here have done.

Default Well, the car is capable of 13.8-14.0. There are a couple here who have run

in the 13s with a stock car. When I went, I made 4 quick passes to see what the car did before I chipped it. It was above 88 degrees and the car was still hot from the 60+ mile drive to the track. I think with just a normal cool down, nice 65-70 degree weather and me now knowing how to drive the car (it was only 2 months old at the time), a high 13 is more than possible. So, I would say the car should average 14.3-14.2 with most drivers.

Default I feel the stock exhaust is way to restrictive. If you are chipped it would be best IMHO to get an

aftermarket exhaust. The sandblaster noise comes from pushing more air (higher boost) out the stock exhaust. Makes the power delivery feel really rough. An aftermarket exhaust will make the car feel so much smoother. Neuspeed/Borla's are real cheap and make some decent sounds.

Default I ran MTM w/ stock exhaust for a weekend.

I borrowed Alex's chip in my car for a weekend while his was in for service & hated it! The power delivery was not smooth at all. It was the Gen I MTM so it might have been that.

I got the Borla & then dropped in the MTM Gen II chip & it was smooth as buttah after that! Call me if you wanna talk more. I'll make the next lunch hopefully!
