I don't find that to be true at all.

Default sure, demodded cars are probably worth a little less if the seller is upfront about that fact

But tasteful mods on *this* car do in fact add value. Especially when it includes upgrading low reliability items like the snails.

Default At this point in the market the real $ questions are: Color, Trans, Avant/Sedan?

Everything else can be more easily altered.

Those questions more frequently with this car determine supply/demand and ultimately price.

It would be fascinating to graph up all the transactions over the post two/three years with color, body and trans type ...

The ultra-low-miles is great, but at 7 years old, you'd still need to do a bunch of maintaince and maybe even TB... and I'd actually wonder about all the oils/fluids/fuel sitting for long periods of time, being driven that rarely.

Default hence why I'm removing expensive mods from mine.. to lower the sale price

Basic stage 3 obviously adds value but beyond that people don't see the added value. It's hard for a buyer to quantify value of a big mod list when they probably don't even know what they are and have never driven a car with them. If they're shopping for a S4 they most likely have not owned one in the past.

Default eh niches are rarely affected by the economy

high mileage cars are just people cars. Low mileage cars would be targeted towards enthusiasts who HAVE to have something a certain way. As I have learned with my car, there is always someone with money willing to drop the coin. Its generally how rarity works. Are there good deals? Sure, but they are becoming rarer and rarer.
