After these basics:
typical household bills (water, gas, electric)
mortgage/rent
401k
IRA and or mutual funds/stocks
monthly deposit in to savings account
girlfriend/wife stuff
dinner out 1 once a week
cellphone bill
internet access bill
cable or satellite TV bill

If after all that you still have $1k to blow on something get an S4 and have fun. If not settle for a VW GTi or whatever you can afford.

I'd feel like I'm gonna be a millionaire if I did 2 out of 3 each month, but I guess I offset that by eating out 4x-5x/week.

you can afford whatever you want if you have enough to put down on the purchase. Simple math says higher down pymt = lower amount financed. Get enough down, drive an S4 around!!! :-)<p>"I'm that Blue Menace in your rear view!!!"
