Default How much does crashing my car detract from resale value <LOL>

I'm actually serious. Not that I'm even considering of selling my car after finally getting this ordeal over with, but just curious.

2000 6spd 53k miles. Damage was every panel on the driver's side including rear quarter which had to be cut and welded. Assume perfectly fixed.

Just would like to know...

Default make sure to take pictures so you can show them to a buyer

that's the only way I would ever buy a wrecked car... is to see the before and after.

Default Since I paid out of pocket for this I never contacted insurance (clean title), but...

I would never cheat a buyer. I have a bunch of pictures from before it was fixed.

Default This is why insurance companies pay out "Diminished Value" - exactly that what you describe.

Car was wrecked and properly repaired, but it is still worth less than equivalent car that hasn't been wrecked (although no 2 used cars are ever truly identical or equal in every way).

No significant structural damage (body panels only) figure 10 - 20% drop in total value of vehicle at the time of accident. Serious structural damage can be a huge % of car's value. This obviously matters less as the car ages. No paint match is so good that "skilled" people can't tell, but the general public is pretty unaware and 10% of the population is colorblind...
