Default Hey BLK01S4, my tip is starting to act REALLY weird. You have this problem...

I'm only APR stage I, but after my 72K timing belt change (I know, what does that have to do with the tranny), shifting between 1-2 and 2-3 with alot of torque going to the tranny causing it to almost shutter either between the shifts, or even sometimes after just letting up off the gas a bit. I'm NOT tipchipped. This stuff every happen to you before going L10?

Hmm no I didnt have that problem, but there is something called converter shutter. Have you ever checked your fluid level? When you say shutter do you mean you feel an indecisive shift on the trannys part? I believe there is an alignment for the tip *trying to remember* maybe someone will chime in ..

Default Indecisive...yea, that is a good explaination/description...

Dealer checked the level, and said it was just fine. Expect that in tip mode... its not trying to shift, but it feels like the converter (excuse my ignorance to what it really may be) almost bounces up and down before grabbing hold again. No issues whatsoever in stock mode, but then the torque is much less.

And all of this after my timing belt change...

Are you thinking of the tip adaption thru VAG maybe? This is really driving me crazy, and ruining my fun!

Default Ya but sounds to me your transmission might

be taking a crap How many miles does it have? With the addition of a chip the transmission is subjected to more heat which does kill any automatic transmission you should check into adding an additional cooler to yours. I have pix so does VRLIFE he has a writeup on how to install this. Just as a last attempt at solving the problem try the VAG with the adjustment. *shrug*

I wish I knew which adjustment you speak of. Not adaptation, right?
