Default how much land is required to build a 1/4 mile drag strip?
with a grandstand, paddocks etc.... 50 acres?

dunno about total acres,but i think for a 1/4 mile track you'll need 3/4 mile runoff=1 mile of track

So, say 5300' x 400' = 2,120,000sf, or 48.7 acres.

I'm sure finding land is not a problem, biggest problem is noise...

Default probably a little more than 50 acres;
At RMR just the pit area is 35 acres, here's a picture to give you some idea of the scale.
