How much is my car worth? Thinking about selling 2001 S4 Avant.
Car is about as close to perfect as they come, 6 speed manual, Imola Yellow, never modded, never tracked, all original. Less than 30K miles.
Edmunds says $28.2K private party, $30.7K dealer sale, $32.3K certified used. I may be able to hook it up with an Audi certified used warranty prior to sale.
$30K to $32K at best? $28K at worst?

sad to say but all seem a bit high. the B5 has $hitty resale value IMHO
hence why I'm keeping my 2000 S4 for a long forseeable future; maybe even handing it down to my wife & getting a new car for myself.

Not for a stock avant w/ low miles...
Depend on the region also. My sedan would go for $26k-$27k here in Denver with ~30k miles on it. The Avants seem to go for significantly more.

Would go for means nothing. Sell it and then tell us what it sells for.
13 S4's on Autotrader around Denver.
The only ones that high are two private sellers who clearly doesn't know better, and one dealer who is probably looking for a sucker.
The rest are comfortably in the low 20's. Figure all of them can be talked down another 5-10%.
And that market is a LOT better for S4's than a lot of other markets. $23k would get a low milage Avant around here pretty easily.

patience is a virture....
but audi resale in new england aint' great...actually for any car aroudn here aint' great. one reason is the half year of salt roads every year...
edmunds doesn't get its values from nowhere. also, auction prices are often skewed versus regular sale. i think those are high as well, but not as high as you make em out to be.
