How much power/torque can a TIP handle? ....m....
Has anyone done a stage 3 on a tip yet? Trying to get an idea before this particular tip goes under the knife of a full stage 3. TIA

well...i'm sure you've seen this, but....

as to what the "real" limit and safety factor is, i don't know.
there are people out there running APR race program and even a handful of stage II+ cars out there. suppossedly there are some KO4 tips out there, but they don't post here and no one here seems to know much about them...(also a KO4'd A6 2.7T tip out there IIRC)

I have seen recently that the 2.7T engine gets the 5hp19 tranny
I heard that it was upgraded to ~308lbs. I actually saw one when it was out of the car and the plaque said 5hp19 code EMP. And the tech said that the 5HP24a was in the V8 A6.
Who knows and has actaully seen the tranny for the 2.7T and saw it read 5HP24a????
Just wondering.
I am not sure, in fact i have also posted the spec sheet for the 5hp24a believing it to be my tranny.

It's the 5HP24A.
I was underneath my car a few weeks ago with the plastic panel off, and was sniffing around for loose tie rod ends, and I saw a a good size plaque on the transmission that read "5HP24A".
