I'm not sure you could change your oil enough in a turbo car. and after about 3k the Amsoil gets dirty (Mobil 1 takes about a day). And the turbos get louder towards 5k or rather, they get quieter after an oil change.

... I've heard 10K.
Plus, if your miles are mostly freeway or mostly road, that would dictate the frequency.
Mostly road breaks oil down fatser (more changes in temp) versus mostly freeway where changes in temp are less for the oil temp is consistant.

engine problems premature wear of most of the moving parts on one of my cars.
Amsoil doesn't stand behind the warranty they claim, and after a costly engine rebuild I will never use them again.
This was when Amsoil claimed that you only had to change the oil once a year. I did that for 3 years in a new car, putting only 10,000 miles in that time. I switched out from amsoil after the rebuild and used dino and never had another problem again.

breaks because of it, they (amsoil) should have stood behind their product and fixed my car.
If you put in the .97c walmart oil that is 0w30, I don't think anyone would have any problems if they changed their oil every 3k.
