From AMSOIL site "In turbocharged gasoline engines and occasionally used gasoline engines: change the oil at intervals up to three times longer recommended by the engine manufacturer or six months, whichever comes first."
Since three times Audi's recommendation is 30k miles, 6 months almost always comes first.

about AMSOIL. If you could show me some letters to AMSOIL or some photos of the damage it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

While it may be about $20 to get it done. It will tell you specifically if there is major engine trouble or breakdown in the oil. It will also suggest if you should change the oil or continue to use it. I had this done after 5k miles and hte recommendation was that it could still be used, but I change mine anyway. You can't just blindly think the oil will last 20k+ miles. Everyones situation is different.

Amsoil recommends that the non Amsoil filter be replace at the engine mfg recommended oil change interval. They say that their filter should be changed every 6 months.

only had to change the oil once a year, and on low driven miles, you only had to replace the filter and add an additional quart.
Their lack of standing behind their product then, was enough for me to never use their products again.
If others have great results, that is good, I was just one unhappy customer.

at the Audi recommended interval of for an oil change.
The synthetic doesn't break down like dyno oil so you can extend the change interval however you should change the filter as the dirt is still getting in the oil at the same rate as before.
