huge "props" to Stasis, just got my 2cnd tranny this year
2 months after i bought my car last year i blew the 01E at the track : ( after a lot of research i decided that stasis would be worth the extra money as junkyards wanted 2500 for a non-rebuilt with 60k on it!! So, tranny goes in pockets go empty and then i hear the noise. not loud, but a whine loud enough for my gf to notice which is always the tell tale sign of a problem. my, shop tells me they think its a pinion bearing. I contact stasis and at first they don't think it's that, and say "just send it back". ummm, that will cost me big duckets isn't that covered? well, technically the warranty doesn't cover shipping ($600) and r&r 1100ish. after sending them a video of the sound a long letter explaining this is why i went with them in the first place I got a response telling me not to worry, they will either send a tech to fix it at the shop of my choice or have a shop replace it. skipping a few details inbetween, my new gear box went in today, didn't cost me a penny, and sounds and feels perfect. like i said in the begining WORTH EVERY PENNY! thanx Beau, Jason, and Jared for all you did, i was freakin for a while and you guys took good care of me, thought you guys and your company deserve a little recognition. : )
