I am looking for insights from those that have installed turbo timers

They seem like a great idea but the folks at my local dealership are not very excited about them.
Has anyone had warranty issues that the TT has been at the root of? What part of the Audi warranty do you think that the installation of a TT would void? If any?

A turbo timer basically runs the engine after you turn the key to "off". This is to allow proper cooling of the turbos after a hot run. After a time you set, the timer will then shut the engine off.
It is said that this prevents "coking", which is a burning of the oil around the turbo seals, thus causing premature turbo failure after many uses and build-up of burnt oil.
One question? Are the turbos of the S4 watercooled?
For example, on my Nissan 300ZX TT, the turbos are watercooled, so a timer is a nice-to-have after a hot run after using lots of boost. They allow the water to bring the turbos back to normal opperating temperature before shut down.
I would basically just let the engine run for about a minute; same effect and a hell of a lot cheaper than a turbo timer.
I don't know if a timer is useful if the turbos are air cooled?
The problems usually occur with getting the timer to work with factory or aftermarket alarm systems. These systems produce some sort of ignition kill which is in direct conflict with the control of the turbo timer. It wants to keep the car running, yet the alarm wants to kill ignition.
