Default

I think the short ones are codes for labor charges, and not part numbers.

Default FWIW...i ran Mobil 1 0w30 for 10k miles, and switched based on valve ticking...

i have run RedLine 5w30 since 15k miles, much happier.

Default Check it out, this is what happening to me ...

I installed Bosch Platins and this when my car started having a rough idle. Nobody else who has these plugs installed ever experienced my problem.

It definitely feels like a misfire, so i thought may be it were the plugs, so I installed the stock ones back, but it did not go back to normal. Did I mention that not DTCs were thrown? Connected VAG, group 15 and 16 and it showes 2, sometimes 3 misfires on cylinder 2, but after idling for 5 min, number of misfires reads 0, but the cars still feels like it is misfiring.

Any ideas on what to do next?

Default try switching the coil pack with another cylinder and see if the missfire moves to the new cylinder

if so, you have a bad coil pack. Otherwise, dunno.

Good luck.

Default Can this be done???

In any car I've ever worked on the coil pack is assigned to specific cylinders cause they don't all fire at the same moment. If you put #1 on the #2 plug it should definetly screw things up.

I am pretty sure you can't just move the plug wires around to any cylinder you want..

Default well, I haven't tried it but.....

I've read posts here that others have without incident.... YMMV and I dunno for sure. Best way to tell is to look at the part number right on the coilpacks and compare... if they're the same it should work.

Default You have to disconnect the wires from the coil packs first

Once the wires are off, the coil packs are all interchangeable. Just make sure to connect the correct wire back to each coil pack. Its hard to get this wrong as the wires as held in place very close to their corresponding cylinders.

If the misfire moves with the coil pack, then you know that pack is weak / defective.
