Default I feel sorry for future B6 S4 owners

Hopefully they'll get their own separate forum so they can avoid the insults you guys are going to throw at them.

There are about 4 pictures and a small write-up and you have already crucified the new S4.

It doesn't loooooook different (in a whinny voice).

I know one thing. The average driver on the road can't tell the difference between the B5 A4/S4. WTF were you guys expecting?!?!? It's got just about the same amount of subtle changes as the current body style.

And why not wait and do a price/performance comparison against BMW. I think we'll see that Audi will stay on top.

Chill dudes...you're acting like a bunch of BMW posters

The looks aren't really a surprise, the numbers truly disappoint

Default Honestly, anyone with a chip will get WAY more torque

than one of the new S4s. And how much can you upgrade a NA v8 without making it get nasty? I've ridden in tuned up camaros and stuff...no thanks.

So, you're comparing a stock B6 S4 with a chipped B5 S4....Doesn't seem fair

Default True, but from a tuning standpoint, you will never get the sort of "price/performance" gain you were

trumpeting earlier. The fact is if the performance data we received earlier is correct, then the B6 S4 is a disappointment.

Gee, that's funny. It always seemed fair w/ an E36 or E46 M3. Why not now?

Default How about "Lead not follow." Remember that ad jingle? Audi has once again failed to do this! The

only truly original Audi was the Allroad and even that was a reponse to a variety of other hybrids on the road. The B5 S4 was a reponse to the E36 M3, the B6 A4 a response to the E46 class, the RS6 was a response to the E39 M5, etc... do you get the picture? Audi is releasing their new products a good 3 years into their competitors product cycles, and usually not even "better" in head to head competition. I mean even with a real "leader" like the RS6. It will be on top for what 2 more months? The new Mercedes E55 AMG will have more power (476 HP), better resale value, etc... and don't even bring in the new M5 (5 liter 515+HP V10!)...
