I finially did the remote antenna mod, guy, just DO IT!
Ok, so the post the other day, reminded me how much I HATE the range. Maybe 8-10 ft from the car?
So I looked under the car, couldn't see much. Oh, look, it appears to be a trunk drain hose? Nope, it's the stupid antenna. the thing is 6-8in long? So I strip off the plastic cover, & see the little antenna. I pull about 1m of 22g wire. Cut & solder both, put on some waterproof shrink wrap, & weave it through my rear bumper cover.
Now, the range is unbelievable!! Literarily 10x the range! It took me 20min to complete, & I didn't even jack the car up.

I don't know why, but the range on my remote is 60' + if I hold the remote high enough. A few weeks
ago, it was raining and instead of running outside to shut the windows and sunroof, I just held the button on the remote and and shut everything while I was inside the building.

It's under the car, comes out through the bottom into the side of the bumper
right behind the passenger rear tire. But it's like 2in in the bumper.
Now, it goes across the entire bumper from the passenger side to the drivers.
