Another reason why you would get the GMC, S4 or any other turbo car is
they don't like those slow rolls in first gear. Can't build any boost quick enough. (You had atleast 3.73s in your stang didn't you?) That's why I don't run V8s from slow rolls like that. Now from 40mph and up, I am game....or from a dead stop. Forced induction does have it's weakness.
As for the Quattro hurting performance, no one knows how much for sure. I'll tell you this though...many Mustang and F-body owners here in the Dallas area have respect for my car on the highway.

BMW's SMG allowed you to rev and drop into first...
From what I read a while back... You could hold the gear lever up, rev, and then just let go and the car would take off at that rpm. I'm not sure if the Ferrari system allows the same.
