I have clunk too... only when I engage clutch in 1st gear from stop. Is this normal for these cars?

It's not REAL bad and if i give it a little gas it's not as bad or not at all. Seems normal to me but i'm a newbie to the Audi S4.

Owning an S4 = constant clinking, popping, crackling suspension. Check CV boots & front
axle. Hell, even the subframe bolts to make sure they're tight.
Clunk could even be the transmission slop, possibly cracked tranny mounts. Worst case scenario, possibly motor mounts blown if you have vibration through the RPMs.
