Default I have one slow (x-chip) S4!!! Just did a GTech Run! Need some input!

Got my new GTech Pro Competition, its great, precalibrated at the factory, does tons of stuff! Took the my car out with my little bro, 3900 lbs I put into the GTech. Did a few runs, I thought I might have a boost leak with the x-chip since I am only getting 15psi highs, but got a run of 6.47sec!!!! Yikes!! With the windows down I hear a hiss/sucking sound and also with the windows up. Dont think its my 710ns checked my TBB a couple weeks ago when I thought the car was slow, that look good. So whats left? Any help would be great! TIA. OH and I check it with my fathers 2003 Pontiac SSEI and got a run or 7.4sec right what it should be.

Default well

first off, gtech's aren't always accurate. i know from experience

second, ya it could be a boost leak. when you checked your tbb the other week, did you take it out? sometimes it's real hard to check it unless your holdin it in your hand. tears are often under the clamps... i had a 3 1/2 tear under my large clamp.

also, are you basing that 15psi of boost on the gtech? or do you have a boost guage?

Default Since the G-Tech is dependant on an acclerometer, it is...

critical that it is zeroed out on a LEVEL surface. The weight input has nothing to do with how it calculates its accelration values. That only impacts the HP calculations.

I was able to get repeatability on 5 consecutive runs with mine of .1". My best time with my current mods was 4.9" for 0-60.

Default What do you have in your S4 that puts it at 3900 lbs?

That seems a bit high since my A4 tips the scale at just over 3100 lbs with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas.

Default

3600lb curb weight, plus 2 passengers (300lbs total?) and fuel = 3900lbs easy...
