Hey guys first of all, sorry for the caps up top.. second, a couple of days ago, my clutch got screwed up while i was driving, and basically would not let me change gears while car was in motion, and the only way to get the car in motion, was to turn the car off, put it in gear, and teh car would automatically start to drive as if the clutch was up... well yesterday, I started poking around, just to see. I was betting on the worst, a clutch replacement.
The problem was with my clutch, but not how you think, when my clutch went out, I was racing, and i burned the clutch, so after first gear, I switched to second, and when I was going to go to third, it wouldnt let me, not third, not any gear. What happened was the cluch and fly wheel welded together. When I bunred the clutch, small pieces of the clutch or flywheel melted, and were stuck in between the two plates, then when it cooled, there was no way to seperate the the two, and by searching the forums, it seams everyone just replaced the clutch. What I did, is I rolled the car outside, went to an empty road, put the car into first gear, and flored it, while slamming on the brakes. This caused the flywheel to stop, while the clutch was still moving, ripping the two apart. Solved the problem for me.
I decided to write it up, so when people are searching later, they can find it in the old forums, and dont end up replacing the clutch. My clutch had only 23k miles, so I kind of knew it wanst the clutch.
I have been driving for 2 days not since I fixed it, and no problems whatsoever, just good to keep in mind that I shouldnt race so often.~
Thanks to all! RAMN
