I just finished installing the EDL defeat mod, but decided to install a switch

EDIT: This only works on '00 models without ESP. THe stability program can't be disabled.
The mosquitoes were eating me alive so I didn't take time for pics, sorry
( I installed a small rocker switch in the lower kick panel, in line with the gas pedal. After getting out there today I decided to install a switch for safe driving in the rain or snow.
I ended up cutting into the red/black abs wire right behind the ecu. It's the forward/left most wire in the white connector. For power, I tapped into one of the switched wires behind the fuse box. I'll have to double check tomorrow and see which one it was. I think it's time for a test drive..
Another benefit of the rocker switch is it might keep a car thief busy for a few minutes.

It's great to have control of the throttle again! Pulling out of the credit union and flooring it caused one of the tires to squeal pretty good until I had it going straight. The tire spun but I kept it floored and the car pulled hard!
Since I couldn't get it to spin enough, I drove around and found a few rain puddles still around from the other day. I took a left at the next median and hit the throttle hard while doing a U-turn
It was a blast to squeal tires until I let off the throttle! After about 3-4 U-turns I quit pressing my luck.. it is Sat night and the police would probably think I was drinking or driving recklessly. I was rehearsing the phrase, "officer, I'm only testing my wiring mod."
I also tried a 3500 rpm launch from a light. It had pretty good traction and only chirped slightly before lunging forward. I think the benefit of having EDL disabled shows up if there's anything on the road that causes a tire to spin, or if you're turning sharp enough.

The humidity was fogging the camera lense.
